Solutions
As a technology reseller, we design and implement a layered matrix of proven security measures that accommodate both changing business needs and the ever-evolving nature of information leaks and security threats. The following is an overview of the solutions we offer.
K LOGIX SERVICES
K logix has developed a Services Methodology to implement the layers of security and policy protection to be consistent with best practices within both inbound and outbound information protection. Based on the fundamental truth that security is never static, we believe that a truly secure state can only be achieved through accurate and on-going management. The four key steps to effective security management are: Discovery, Design, Implementation and Knowledge Transfer.
- Discovery: Provide K logix Threat Assessment for data at rest and data in motion to discover both Internet and Corporate Data vulnerabilities
- Design: Design strategic solution based K logix Threat Assessment results along with customer specific business processes and network topology
- Implementation: Deployment of layers of security and policy based controls for managing for Inbound and Outbound Security Threats.
- Knowledge Transfer: Provide detailed education, training, and ongoing awareness to maximize the capabilities of the total solution.
WEB SECURITY
Traditionally, many organizations have recognized Web Security as managing their Internet access from problems such as legal liabilities, bandwidth consumption and lost productivity. Although these issues are still important, the evolving nature of security threats from the Internet has shifted the focus. It is no longer safe to assume basic web-filtering has an organization covered for problems such as phishing attacks, spyware/ malware, malicious attacks stemming from Internet activity and evasive P2P applications such as Skype. K logix provides vulnerability assessments based on an organization's current Internet Access Policies and makes recommendations to help fill the gaps of exposure caused by today's Internet threats.
EMAIL SECURITY
Email continues to be one of the most critical applications in the workplace. Spam has evolved from a mere annoyance to a major threat from both a productivity standpoint and a security standpoint. With the advent of more intelligent viruses, email attacks and image based spam, K logix believes that very few solutions can keep pace with the changing climate. We provide a consolidated approach to Secure Email at the gateway involving multiple layers of Antispam, Antivirus and Encryption. Whether an organizations preference is to manage the problem with an in house product or outsourced solution, K logix recommends and implements the same layered philosophy.
INSTANT MESSAGING (IM) SECURITY
Instant Messaging has become a widely adopted channel of collaboration, both sanctioned and unsanctioned. Many organizations have chosen to standardize on Enterprise IM networks such as Sametime or LCS while others continue to utilize the public IM networks. This wide adoption has increased the risk of malware, viruses and worms that quickly propagate through IM into corporate networks. Along with the security threat, IM brings with it the exposure to regulatory compliance breaches. K logix offers a Secure Instant Messaging Solution for both the Public and Enterprise IM applications to control, log and report on all IM activity within an organization.
INFORMATION LEAK PROTECTION
Data Assets have becoming increasingly challenging to protect from internal and external threats. Organizations are seeking ways to control their employee's access to sensitive information in terms of how that information gets manipulated and distributed both in and outside the organization. In order to accomplish this, K logix first discovers and identifies where sensitive information resides followed by fingerprinting that information so it can be monitored and logged as it attempts to travel in and outside the organization. Lastly, that data must be protected, through policy-based controls (email, IM, FTP, P2P, printing, etc) that align with business processes.
DATA ENCRYPTION (DISK AND EMAIL)
In addition to the privacy provisions of GLBA, HIPAA and FISMA, many states as well as foreign governments are adopting tough disclosure laws similar to California's SB1386. Organizations therefore have the responsibility to reduce or eliminate the risks associated with security breaches by securing data at rest on hard drives, mobile pathways, or at end-of-life on unneeded PCs. K logix provides a centrally managed approach to Data Encryption that allows companies to maximize the productivity of mobile computing while eliminating the need for expensive or embarrassing public disclosure in the event of computer theft or loss.
END POINT SECURITY
The proliferation of products using USB, WiFi, FireWire, Bluetooth & other protocols makes it easy to connect unauthorized external devices to enterprise desktops and laptops. This poses two distinct security threats: data leakage & targeted attacks. These external devices accessing a secure network via WiFi, Bluetooth, USB, FireWire, PCMCIA, serial and other ports may be totally unknown to network administrators. K logix provides a comprehensive End Point Security solution that delivers complete visibility and granular control over all enterprise endpoints. The result is an easy to manage, intuitive solution that guarantees security and connectivity without sacrificing productivity.
WAN OPTIMIZATION
If information is a company's most valuable commodity, then fast access to that information is more important than ever before. With the importance of anytime, anywhere application access, organizations are faced with the challenge of improving and accelerating application performance from remote and branch offices across the WAN. K logix provides WAN Optimization solutions that accelerate the delivery of business applications across the distributed enterprise - including Internet gateways, branch offices, data centers, and even individual end points. This enables organizations to ensure critical business applications perform well and costly application and network resources are delivering maximum value to the business.
