Introducing the K logix Data Security Quadrant

The K logix Data Security Quadrant™ is a simple and powerful interactive tool that lets you and your peers track your data security efforts against the industry. You can interact with the Quadrant right on our home page, www.klogixcorp.com. It’s completely anonymous.

Why did we make The K logix Data Security Quadrant?
In hundreds of conversations with enterprise organizations we have noticed most companies take one of four approaches to data protection:

1. Technology-driven - These companies lack security policy, but they have invested heavily in technology to safeguard data.

2. Documented – These companies have sound policy in place, but they do not have the necessary technology to protect data from other threats.

3. Exposed – These companies are in a dangerous position, lacking in policy and technology.

4. Prepared – These companies have technology and process, and understand data security is an evolving art, and that they must be constantly vigilant.

It’s hard to strike the right balance between technology and process and feel fully prepared to battle the many different internal and external threats to data. The Quadrant gives organizations an opportunity to honestly assess their current approach, and then make the necessary changes to move their organization along a path to better data protection.

The Quadrant is Anonymous
You can fully participate in the Quadrant without providing any identifying information. So, be honest, and feel safe that you are not exposing weaknesses in your organizations.

Why Contribute?

  • To compare your company’s approach to others and track your progress over time;

  • To make a case to your management for security investments;

Come back for more
You can visit our site every day and view the Quadrant as a snapshot of data security practices. You should plan to visit quarterly and update your organization’s spot. Have you made improvements or fallen behind?

You can also visit us here, on our blog, where we will dig deeper into the data behind the Quadrant on a regular basis. We’ll analyze comments and changing trends and match these comments to industry-wide events.
